FSASKATCHEWAN’S YESTERDAYS PERSONIFIED

CARL A. KRAUSE is a product of Saskatchewan. He spent his years working in education and more recently has given his attention to researching projects in local history. He is a frequent contributor to Folklore. He and his wife Lily live in Saskatoon.

Armed with a Master’s degree in history from the University of Regina, KEITH FOSTER worked in the Prairie History Room of the Regina Public Library and was on the board of the Saskatchewan History & Folklore Society when it launched Folklore in 1979. He had two articles published in the first issue, and a few more since then.

Dad was reputed to be the best water-witcher in the entire RM. He had a knack for finding water where no one else could.
