ABOVE A spectacular sunset covered the Fox-body Mustangs Friday night and the celebration went on until 9pm.

After recent record-setting high temperatures, Fall came quickly and brought blue skies and pleasant temperatures to Foxtoberfest presented by Fox Mustang Restoration. The rains held off through most of the show. This show continues to grow each year and a record number of Fox-body Mustangs crowded the massive parking lot at Intimidators Stadium.

Friday night was a Meet and Greet event, with on-site radio station music, food trucks, and beer vendors to keep the crowd fed and entertained. Fire pits to warm by, cornhole boards to play, Fox Mustangs to ogle, and conversations with old friends kept the night lively.

Saturday dawned cloud-free, as the Mustangs filled the show field. Spectator parking filled the outside edge of the show field and down the entrance road, over a quarter mile on both sides. We pity the judges tasked to choose the best of the best out of this group. With miles to travel and the threat of rain, we headed for home around noon. Even so, there were still cars coming into the show. We’ll be back next year for sure, as this event is securing its spot on our ‘Must See’ list.

ABOVE Mustang Week’s Mike Clay and several other members of the Mustang Week team made the trip to support Foxtoberfest. Mike’s Light Blue, 1980 Cobra is possibly the most recognizable Fox-bodied Mustang in the country today, and he proudly displays it with numerous pieces of true 1980’s memorabilia.
